Made in Florence, Italy, this fountain pen pen features Pineider’s flexible nib, a quill-shaped clip, and a “soft touch magnetic lock” cap system. 

The filling mechanism is unique – push the button to extract the piston knob, turn the piston knob like any other piston filler to fill the pen with ink, then push the button again to lock it in place.

This fountain pen has a smooth, soft rhodium-plated 14kt gold nib, which is flexible for ease of creating line width variation in your writing.

Each pen also comes a Pineider Pen Filler for ease of filling.

The Material

Traditional carbon fiber is a fabric of thin fibers held together by a resin. It is lightweight and resistant, but quite difficult to mold into complex curves or to create different inner and outer profiles. Forged Carbon resolves these problems by using discontinuous fibers.

Forged composite material forgoes weaving, instead using casually arranged fibers mixed with resin, formed in a heated press at high pressure. The resulting compound is reliably strong in every direction. A further aesthetic bonus of casual fibers is that every end product is unique.

Forged Carbon is used in top-of-the-range automobiles by the most famous manufacturers, as well as for luxury watches and golf clubs. It has never used to produce writing instruments until now.
